Preparing homemade, healthy recipes for our big Thanksgiving meal is on of my favorite things to do.
One year though, I spent $120 just on the turkey! I wanted a pasture-raised, organic, heritage breed turkey and it was not cheap.
As delicious as it was, that's something we can't afford year after year. So instead, I buy an organic, free-range turkey and make the other dishes as healthy as I can. I've been making Thanksgiving for over 14 years now and I have a great collection of recipes I've tried.
We've had a few food restrictions over the years too so some of these recipes reflect those seasons. And I can tell you, making homemade allergy-friendly foods is much cheaper than buying store-bought!
