I once had a co-worker tell me to enjoy the last few days of life because in essence it was “over” once the baby was our son was “sucking air” as he put it.
Not the most pleasant of individuals but I was used to his negative, nasty attitude. After 10 years, you get immune.
But in the next breath, I will agree, life is not the same once you have children. Your heart grows with a love that seems to envelop your child (or children). Parenting is season after season of tears, laughter, sadness and joy.
