I'm glad you're joining us for the Conquering Clutter series.
In this series, we are exploring how you got so cluttered, how to remove what you don’t need and most importantly, how to not go there again. Last time, we talked about the cost of clutter and today we're looking at three different types of clutter you have.
Three Types of Clutter
- Physical Clutter – the actual stuff you’ve got piled in drawers, closets, counters and everywhere else
- Emotional Clutter – the stuff you’re holding onto in your heart from past hurts, failures and yes, “fun” times
- Spiritual Clutter – the stuff that attaches itself to us, usually unknowingly, that needs to be removed
To live a thriving life, we must be free of the things that hold us back. Clutter, of any type, holds us back from doing and being what we’re called to do and be.
We’re going to explore all three types of clutter together in series but first, I want you to realize that clutter is a draining abundance no matter which type of clutter it is. Clutter drain us and hinders us from moving forward in or enjoying life.
Do you long to wake up to a kitchen that’s free of unnecessary stuff? Do you wish you could enjoy a day where billboards, music and smells weren’t a sentence of regret and self-hate? Are you under spiritual oppression or feel you can never hear from God or operate in the gifts of the Spirit? It’s all clutter and it can be dealt with.
As we continue in this series we'll move deeper into removing clutter from your life. Physical clutter is the most obvious and we'll be digging into that next week and you can grab your free decluttering worksheets too.
